For the customer, it helps give a consolidated view of the tradespeople coming to complete the job. It lowers the tradesperson management barrier for small-medium sized jobs, where a builder is usually engaged. As such, overall job cost is reduced as builder overhead is removed.

 

Also, as tradespeople move their dates around, the customer gets an updated, real-time view, of when tradespeople are attending the relavant task for a particular job.

 

For builders, it helps manage multiple jobs and gives a view of which jobs relevant tradespersons are required on an hourly, daily or weekly basis.

 

Optionally, a per-task description and fee (tradesperson & customer views) can be provided to help keep track of all works for small-medium jobs.

 

Initially offer a free service, then once a critical mass has been reached, start charging relevant service providers for the increased overall efficiency & cross-sell opportunties.
